Types of Field Workers

A. Missionary
A missionary is someone who is serving long term on the mission field. They have raised their full-support and completed all checks and they are serving on their field of choice.

B. Missionary Under Appointment
This type of missionary is again applying for long term service. They are yet to raise their full support and are in the process of fundraising and have completed all necessary checks.

C. Short-term Missionary
This is someone that is serving on the field and who is self-supported. They are able to serve up to a one year term, which can be extended for another year.

D. Japan Team /Hong Kong Team Member
These workers are self-supported , under 30 years of age and give one year to serve in the Jesus LifeHouse Churches in either Tokyo, Osaka or Hong Kong.

E. Gap Team Member
This program is designed for the 18-25 year old market. It is designed for young people wanting to incorporate a missions experience into their travel plans, those on University holidays or those wanting to defer their study and take a Gap year. They can serve from any time from 2 weeks up to a year and are self-supporting.

F. Associate Missionary
This is someone that is a part of the Australian Christian Churches movement by is working through another specialised mission’s agency (E.g. Wycliffe) who want to maintain their relationship and standing with the ACC movement.
