Katrina, a Field Worker in Beira, Mozambique Africa has been busy with the beginning of a new school year and the crèche starting up again after recent holidays. The crèche now has 11 babies between 2 months to 18 months, plus 10 preschool children between 2-5 years. With seven workers under her care, this is keeping Katrina busy with the training and rostering.
Katrina was involved with a working bee at Hope Training Centre (HTC) to help get the place ready for the arrival of the students. Hope Training Centre is a live-in leadership, mentoring, training and church planting centre. This year they have 8 new students in first year and 15 students in second year. Everyone worked hard doing all the jobs which needed to get done and they were very happy with what they were able to achieve.
Although the Hope Centre is taking longer to be completed than anticipated, the container from Australia is expected to arrive in March, which will help with the completion process. Once this building is completed, they will be able to open the doors and have 120 children involved in child care, early learning and after school tuition in the new facility.
