The beautifull island of Samar Philippines remains an open mission field for church planting. As part of the vision CCA –AOG missions in 2004 we targeted 70 major towns with no church for church planting, we now have 50 left, most were established by Australian ministry teams working alongside the national church.
We go into a town with a grass roots approach to evangelism both going door-to-door, and nightly healing rallies. The goal of the week long event to establish a church plant fed by new converts through the above events. We also focus on doing good works in the town over an extended period. As well as establishing the new pastor. Visiting churches are encouraged to be involved in starting the church, training the pastor and enter into a relationship helping the church come to maturity.
Kings Christian school from the Goal Coast have helped start several churches. This year they visited us in September 2009. We opened the church in the town of Canavid in Eastern Samar . We saw many amazing instant miracles, as God began to move through the hands of young people. One child whom not able to speak was instantly healed, demons came out of people many were healed of all kinds of ailments. Ptr Kindah Greening and Ptr Guy Omyrod of Kings testify that the most amazing thing is the transformation of young Australian lives as they witness the hand of God touching lives. They return home on fire with a great passion for the things of God. If you have lost your passion and fire then join or send a team to Samar.
The plan of God is to reach to the ends of the earth, as we focus on our own backyard we often miss out on real intention of the church which is to go into all the world. It is the realm of the next unwritten chapter of Acts, it is an exciting place life changing place to be.
