Pilgrim is a band that speaks into the lives of youths in Cambodia. Pilgrim does not shy away from talking about tough subjects that are relevant to the urban youth culture….

“Since our last live televised concert in September, Pilgrim has been receiving a steady stream of requests for appearances on various TV programs and chat shows, sales of our album have gone up, (both the pirated and licensed copies!), pressure to release our new album has increased, and all in all there is a growing momentum developing. However the thing of most significance was a call that came in early December when we received a request to do another live televised concert towards the middle of December. I was all ready half way through my polite refusal speech, citing just too busy as my main reason, until the voice on the other end of the phone said “Please, this is at the personal request of the Prime Minister’s daughter. She saw your last concert and was really impressed and requested another one….” Well this is what we exist for, opportunities to let our music influence the worldview and values of society, particularly its influencers, so we agreed.” Again televised across the Nation and into Khmer communities overseas, Pilgrim performed two sets of original songs, written to address contemporary and often tough subjects relevant to urban youth in Cambodia”.
